Description

California studio pottery vase in earth tones of rust, orange, brown and off white. Features an abstract design with a bulbous, slightly ribbed body. Incised signature: POTTERY SHACK Singleton The POTTERY SHACK was located in Laguna Beach, California. It was open from 1936-1972. There were many in-house potters that would showcase their techniques and how pottery was made. No two pieces are exactly alike and there isn't a lot of information on the artists themselves. Rita Singleton was one of the artists there during the 60's. Measures approx. 8 1/2 inches tall Mouth is: 4 1/2 inches wide Base approx. 3 1/2 inches wide No chips or cracks.
