Description

Fantastic find! This lot came from the contents of a Hollywood area storage unit that we purchased several years ago. Most of the contents were related to a production company that largely did commercial work, but there were a number of film canisters that contained movie related items. Up for auction here is a large (15" diameter) 35mm Eastman Kodak film canister containing 18 reels of 35mm color film from the filming of Caveman - starring Ringo Starr. All are categorized as being from Battle Scene - 3rd Horned Lizard. Pretty cool images of Ringo riding the "lizard" that was later finalized via special effects. Last photo in this listing is from the finished product and not part of what is in the canister. I have only unrolled a couple of the reels to get some images for this listing, but you get the idea from the pics. Reels have started to take on a reddish tint from age and there is a vinegar scent when opening the canister. Obviously, you won't be able to find these images anywhere. Great item for a Ringo / Beatles / Caveman fan and super rare! You get the canister and all 18 reels for your bid. Please see all photos.
